COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho—The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on I-90 eastbound near Coeur d’Alene.
According to ISP, around 11 a.m. on August 2, a 31-year-old woman from Post Falls was driving eastbound on I-90 near milepost 19 with a 31-year-old male passenger.
Troopers reported that the driver ran off the roadway onto the right shoulder and attempted to steer back onto the road but overcorrected, crashing into the center concrete barrier. The vehicle overturned, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to the hospital.
Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing seatbelts. The roadway was blocked for approximately three hours. The Idaho State Police continues to investigate the crash.
