SPOKANE, Wash. – A man who was driving a silver BMW in north Spokane county early Monday morning was violently ejected from the car after spinning into a field, killing him.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the man was speeding down south Perry Road at around 5:30 a.m. when he ran a stop sign at Easter Westmoreland Road and went flying off the road, causing the car to spin several times.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown about 30 feet from the car. When emergency responders arrived at the field where the car crashed, the man was pronounced dead. Investigators believe that speed and a failure to use his seatbelt were the reasons for the fatal crash.
