SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — Eastbound I-90 reopened at Snoqualmie Pass Monday afternoon after several spinouts and crashes forced it to close.

The Washington State Department of Transportation’s website says chains are still required on all vehicles except all-wheel drive in both directions.

Eastbound I-90 is closed at Snoqualmie Pass as a severe winter storm rolls through.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, I-90 eastbound is closed from about five miles west of the summit, near Denny Creek, due to multiple spinouts and crashes. The department doesn’t yet have an estimate for when the pass could reopen.

While westbound I-90 remains open, chains are required for all vehicles except all-wheel drive.
