OTHELLO, Wash. – Eight people have been arrested in Othello as part of a human sex trafficking operation conducted at the end of October. The arrests were made for attempting to buy a sex worker.
One of the men arrested was on pre-trial release from Idaho for alleged sexual contact with a juvenile relative.
The women involved in the operation were provided with access to resources through New Hope. They may also face charges of prostitution.
Deputies also discovered 31 grams of meth and 30 Suboxone pills during the operation.
