SCRAPS is inviting you to embark on a hairy adventure Saturday, September 10th with FETCH – an amazing race across Riverfront Park. Participants are given clues that lead them to an animal themed challenge. Once they complete the challenge, they are off to the next pit stop.
FETCH challenges are all shelter themed. Each provides information in a fun way about a topic that concerns animal welfare. For instance, participants learn about safety hazards in the winter, like making sure your dog has drinkable water when the temperature dips. The challenge is figuring out how to get your next clue out of a chunk of ice.
The event is open to families, coworkers, dogs with their owners or lone wolves. Pledge sheets are available for participants who want to help the SCRAPS Hope Foundation Animal Medical Fund. Every participant gets a free doggy bag and ice cream. Prizes are offered in many categories including most pledges, fastest time for the long course and special prizes for kids under 17.
The course will be open from 10 a .m. – 2 p.m. with our vendor fair going until 3 p.m. Start times are staggered and the course is ADA accessible.
More information is available at www.scrapshopefoundation.org. The entrance fee is $10 per person or $20 per pack (group).
