EPHRATA, Wash. – A 67-year-old woman had to be hospitalized after she was attacked by 6 dogs on Tuesday morning.

Around 7 a.m. the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a neighbor saying a woman was screaming for help and being attacked by multiple dogs.

The neighbor responded to the 8000 block of Road 10-Northwest and helped the victim get home after the attack. EMT’s and first responders began treating her for injuries.

The woman was then transported to the Columbia Basin Hospital where her current condition is unknown.

The owner of the six dogs surrendered them to the Sheriff’s Animal Control Officers. The dogs are described as either pitbull or pitbull-mixed breed.

Grant County Animal Outreach placed the dogs on a 10-day hold.
