POST FALLS, Idaho – A teen who escaped the Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday.
The 15-year-old escaped the detention facility on June 21 with another young person. While the other teenager was quickly detained, law enforcement could not find the teenager detained on Tuesday until he was seen entering a residence in Post Falls.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, the teen was asked to leave the residence by a sheriff’s office unit and he complied with their orders without incident. He is now back in juvenile detention on escape charges.
