Evacuation levels lowered to Level 1 (Be Ready) for Number 2 Canyon Fire

WENATCHEE, Wash. — All evacuation levels have been lowered to a Level 1 (Be Ready).

According to Chelan County Emergency Managment, firefighters were able to knock the Number 2 Canyon Fire.

The Red Cross is opening a shelter for evacuees in Wenatchee.

According to Chelan County Emergency Management, the Red Cross will have a shelter ready by 7 p.m. at the Sage Hills Church on 1601 5th Street.

Washington DNR is responding to the ongoing fire near Wenatchee.

According to a tweet from the Washington State DNR Wildfire, the fire has burned nearly 100 acres four miles west of Wenatchee. DNR is assisting Chelan County fire crews.

A level 3 (go now) evacuation alert has been called for portions of Chelan County due a fire of Number 2 Canyon Road in Wenatchee.

Level 3 alerts mean go now and that fires pose an immediate danger. The evacuation map is attached below.
