SOAP LAKE, Wash. – The Grant County Sheriff’s Department arrested one person after injured one person and damaged property.
All evacuations for the fire have been canceled, and residents have been able to return home.
The person arrested faces charges of first-degree reckless burning after the fire destroyed four cars, four trailers and seven outbuildings.
Road 20, which was blocked off during the fire, has since reopened, and the majority of the damage occurred along Road B.5-NE.
Grant County law enforcement will continue to investigate and manage all fire-related information.
