Evacuations lowered to Level 2 (Be Ready) for Wallen Fire

MOSCOW, Idaho – Evacuation advisories for the Wallen Fire that sparked Friday night near Moscow have been lowered to Level 2 (Be Ready).

According to the Latah County Sheriff’s Office, those who were rapidly evacuated at around 4:30 p.m. Friday night are able to return to the area.

“As with any fire, be ready to leave at a moments notice as fire behavior can change rapidly,” the sheriff’s office said.

Roads in the current evacuation zone remain closed to drivers passing through the area to allow emergency personnel to continue handling the flames.
