CHENEY, Wash. – Firefighters are currently tackling a three-acre brush fire east of Cheney.
The incident is located at South Cheney-Spangle Road and West Jennings Road, according to Spokane County Fire District 3. The fire, though slow-moving, has already consumed approximately half an acre and now has spread to three acres. Initially, firefighters faced challenges accessing the site.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of structures being threatened or evacuations being ordered at this time. This remains an active incident, and further updates will follow.
