Firefighters contain Yarrow Lane house fire, prevent spread to nearby homes

PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. – Firefighters extinguished a house fire on Yarrow Lane before it spread to nearby brush and homes.

According to South Pend Oreille Fire Rescue, crews responded to the fire and found the home fully engulfed in flames. They worked quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.

No injuries were reported, and firefighters were able to rescue multiple pets, including dogs, cats and chickens. The Red Cross was mobilized to help displaced residents as crews worked for approximately four hours.
