Florida man with out-of-state warrant for traveling to meet a minor evades arrest in Idaho

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – U.S. Marshals in Idaho tried to arrest a man on an out-of-state warrant Tuesday evening.

Christian Bert Fischer evaded law enforcement on Kelso Lake Rd. near Athol, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Fischer is wanted for not showing up to court after he was arrested in Florida for traveling to meet a minor for sexual purposes in 2022.

In February of 2024, Fischer attended his trial while out of custody on bond, however, he failed to show up to the second day of the trial and has reportedly been on the run since.

Fischer has a warrant charging him with failure to appear, and was convicted in absentia for traveling to meet a child. The court in Florida is waiting for his return for a formal sentencing.

Fischer, 42, is 5’10” and weighs 200 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes, and is also known to dress as a woman.
