FOUND: Spokane County deputies seek public’s help to locate missing 11-year-old

Update Aug. 1, 7 p.m. – The 11-year-old has been safely found.

Originally published Aug. 1 6 p.m. – SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing or runaway 11-year-old child.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded around 11:30 a.m. to a report of a missing or runaway child, Zachary Reid.

The family reported that Zachary became upset after a disagreement earlier in the morning and apparently left their home, located northwest of West Cascade Way and North Division, by climbing out of his bedroom window. His family is very concerned for his welfare, as this behavior is uncharacteristic of him.

Reid is described as an 11-year-old white male, approximately 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue tank top and black pants.
