SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University adds the nation’s oldest honor society, Phi Beta Kappa, as an established chapter.
The University received the recognition to establish the chapter after a vote on Friday confirmed the approval.
The chapter was voted to be named “Epsilon of Washington.””I am especially excited for our students, who were an integral part of the site visit and whose academic achievements we now can recognize as Phi Beta Kappa members,” Professor Kirk Besmer said.The university is excited to welcome the honor society and give students another opportunity to participate in these kinds of programs.They credit the approval to their commitment to academic excellence and the growth of their arts, science, and humanities programs.The program faculty is gearing up and preparing as the program will welcome students in the spring of 2025.
