Gonzaga University hosts Columbia River Basin Governance event for residents and experts

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga University Institute for Climate, Water and the Environment is hosting an event welcoming residents, experts, Indigenous leaders, and stakeholders from the international Columbia River Basin to share ideas for governing the vital waterway’s future.

According to a press release from the university, the event will take place over two days, from Nov. 13 to Nov. 14, at the Cataldo Hall Globe Room at Gonzaga University.

The agenda will address several key areas, including water pollution, climate change impacts, salmon reintroduction, habitat restoration, and more.
