SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University is changing their security plans after a person caused several ‘election-related disruptions’ at the John J. Hemmingson Center.

The campus security team released a statement about the disruption saying that the individual causing the disruption is not associated with Gonzaga.

“Gonzaga community members are reminded that as election results trickle in during the days and weeks ahead, uncertainty of the outcome can be stressful,” the campus security said.

Campus building will be restricted to key card access through Friday out of an abundance of caution.

If anyone has immediate safety concerns contact 911 or crime check. For questions and concerns about this incident contact campus safety at (509) 313-2222.
