DANVILLE, Wash. – The Goosmus Fire near Danville continued to burn into the weekend.
According to FireNet, nearly 170 fire personnel were assigned to the fire to build an indfiredt line for around 90% of the fire. Helicopters have also been working to mitigate the spread of the flames.
The size of the fire remains 1,700 acres, with emergency responders focused on finalizing the lines for areas that could see high winds on Sunday.
Level 3 (go now) evacuations remain in place for 4th of July Creek Road, while Level 2 evacuations apply to Danville, the area north of Big Goosmus Road and along Highway 21.
