KELLOGG, Idaho — A gun found at Kellogg High School on Tuesday was confirmed stolen and connected to a robbery in Missoula.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on social media that a teacher with Kellogg High School took their class out to pick up trash near the creek when the teacher found a box in the water.
The teacher picked up the box and realized there was a gun inside and immediately gave it to the school’s recourse officer.
SCSO confirmed the gun was reported stolen out of Montana last week and was part of a robbery in Missoula.

SCSO said they do not believe there is a threat to the school at this time.
