HAYDEN, Idaho – A 73-year-old Hayden man was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for sexually abusing a child.
The Sept. 20 sentencing came after David Allen Ihle was found guilty of lewd conduct with a 9-year-old.
“The State noted that Ihle engaged in repeated grooming behavior with the child, minimized his accountability by claiming he accidentally found himself touching the child’s bare genitals, and continued to pose a threat to society despite his old age,” the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Ihle will be eligible for parole after serving his first three years in prison.
