MOSCOW, Idaho – A woman was injured in a head-on car crash on U.S. Highway 95 near Moscow.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), at approximately 7:30 a.m. on August 5, an 18-year-old man from Lewiston was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 95. A 20-year-old woman from Caldwell was traveling southbound on the same highway when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with the man’s vehicle.
After the crash, the man’s car caught fire. Both drivers were transported to the hospital via air ambulance; the woman driver was flown to the hospital, and the male driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was also transported by air ambulance.
Troopers reported that the highway was blocked for about 3.5 hours. ISP stated that the incident remains under investigation.
