Help local seniors beat the heat this summer in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – It’s that time of year again. The weather is getting warmer and seniors in our area need help cooling down.

That’s why Meals on Wheels Spokane is asking for the public’s help collecting fans to help the seniors who they serve cool off.

Meals on Wheels Is hoping to collect about 500 total fans this summer, they need about 400 more.

Seniors use these fans to circulate the air in their home. Not just to keep themselves cool, but many also use them for their plants and pets.

Many seniors use this as an opportunity to continue to build their bond with the volunteers who deliver to them.

You can donate new fans in person at Meals on Wheels Spokane (1222 West Second Ave) or you can donate online (each fan is about $20-25)
