RITZVILLE, Wash. — Adams County deputies arrested a man after he reportedly fled from a trooper and deputies during a high-speed chase.
According to deputies, Washington State Patrol troopers began pursuing a suspect on Highway 395 near Ritzville on Friday. They eventually called off the chase and informed Adams County deputies of the vehicle’s last known location, which was heading west on Highway 26.
Deputies intercepted the fleeing car east of Booker Road and attempted to stop it as it turned south on Booker Road. The vehicle initially stopped near some sheds but fled again as deputies approached.
The chase resumed, with the car reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour. It continued onto Highway 17 without stopping at a stop sign and attempted to pass another vehicle on the right. The car lost control and rolled several times off the road.
Deputies provided aid to the driver and passenger, who were later taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, Jacob Arceo, 25, of Pasco, faces multiple charges, including suspicion of driving with a suspended license and reckless driving. The passenger has not yet been identified, as they have been unwilling to provide verifying information.
