Highway closures in Idaho causing drivers to take alternate routes

LEWIS COUNTY, Idaho – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office provided road updates, reporting that numerous Idaho roads are facing slides and washouts, resulting in closures.

U.S. Highway 64 is impassable due to slides in the area, and no reopening time has been provided.

Highway 12 between Kamiah and Orofino also encountered slides, leaving only one lane open. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution.

Additionally, U.S. Highway 162 is impassable on Monday morning due to washouts. LCSO is urging drivers to avoid the area.
