Home sustains extensive damage after fire in northwest Spokane, no injuries

SPOKANE, Wash. – A home burst into flames in northwest Spokane Sunday evening, leaving behind extensive damage.

According to the Spokane Fire Department, crews responded to the 4100 block of West Queen Avenue for reports of a house fire. When crews arrived on the scene, a portion of the home was burning.

SFD said nobody was home during the fire, and no one was injured. Due to the extensive damage to the home, the occupants will be displaced.

SFD said they do not know what caused the fire and continue investigating.
