SPOKANE, Wash. – Hoopfest is almost here, and here’s everything you need to know about this weekend’s basketball event.
What is Hoopfest?
Hoopfest is Earth’s largest 3-on-3 outdoor basketball tournament, featuring shopping, food, and interactive entertainment.
How many participants are there?
Over 6,000 teams, 3,000 volunteers, 225,000 fans and 425 courts across 45 city blocks will fill downtown Spokane.
How many games can you play, and how long are they?
Each team is guaranteed three games, each lasting 25 minutes. The target score for all games is 20 points, with the first team to reach this score within the time limit declared the winner. Games for grades 3-6 are 20 minutes or until a team scores 20 points. Games for grades 1-2 are 15 minutes.
Where do I check-in for Hoopfest?
Team check-in for Hoopfest 2024 is at Riverfront Park at the Pavilion Plaza.
Where can I park for Hoopfest?
Use South Howard Street and Stevens on West Main Avenue with a Parkade parking pass for convenient parking near the action.

Is public transportation available during Hoopfest?
Hoopfest will offer free rides on all Spokane Transit Authority (STA) routes, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Spokane World’s Fair Expo 74. Buses run every ten minutes on Saturday, June 29, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 30, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The STA Plaza is closed to bus traffic during the Hoopfest weekend. Alternate loading zones for regular routes begin Friday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m. View a map of alternate zones and bus routes here.
