SPOKANE, Wash. – A fire broke out in the West Central neighborhood, leaving one resident displaced and is now under investigation as ‘suspicious.’

The Spokane Fire Department responded to the 1500 block of North Adams Street in the West Central neighborhood around 4 a.m. Tuesday to flames and smoke coming from a trailer.

A trailer just outside the house was completely destroyed, and the flames began to spread to the exterior of the house.

The outside of the house was badly damaged and deemed unlivable as the fire quickly spread from the trailer to the house.

One resident was inside the home during the fire, and a neighbor was seen on camera running up to the house while it was fully engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but SFD did tell NonStop Local that the fire is ‘suspicious in nature.’

There were no reported injuries in the incident, and the displaced resident is being assisted by the Red Cross.
