LEWISTON, Idaho – Idaho inmate Skylar Meade, who escaped prison and is suspected of two murders, has been transported to the Nez Perce County Jail.
Meade was transported through the planned operation of Idaho State Police, Lewiston Police Department, Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office and the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
The operation was classified as a high-risk and high-threat as Meade has escaped custody previously.
Meade has pleaded guilty to planning and executing the prison break back in March.
Meade was sentenced to life in prison for the escape and will face charges for the alleged murders soon.
ISP Northern Commander Major Matthew Smith expressed appreciation and gratitude for the safe transport of Meade.
“Our primary objective was to ensure a safe and secure transport of the detainee. We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards and providing confidence to all involved. Extensive planning and coordination facilitated this high-security operation.” Smith said.
