Idaho man arrested for allegedly creating child abuse material

BOISE, Idaho – An Idaho man was arrested Sunday for allegedly creating child abuse material.

Cristian Escalera Maldonado was arrested after the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit Sunday and faces multiple charges related to child exploitation.

He is charged with four counts of sexual battery of a minor aged 16 or 17, one count of lewd conduct with a minor under 16, one count of sexual exploitation by production of child sexual abuse material, and one count of sexual exploitation by possession of child sexual abuse material.

He was booked into the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend.
