NEZ PERCE COUNTY, Idaho.-An Idaho man is behind bars suspected of sexual assault and DUI.
Lewiston police responded to reports of a sexual assault at 3590 Country Club Drive on Nov. 22 and found a woman who claimed that a 25-year-old Koen Valdez, who was staying at her house assaulted her.
According to court documents, the Valdez was reportedly taking a shower when he entered the kitchen and asked the woman who owned the home to get in the shower with him.
The homeowner refused, but agreed to wash the Valdez’s back and went into the bathroom with him where he pinned her down and ripped her pants before touching her in a nonconsensual manner, according to charging documents.
Police photographed injuries to the victim’s face, neck, side and back that were consistent with her side of events.
Valdez left the scene after the incident, however, he was stopped by Lewiston PD and alcohol could be smelled and his eyes were bloodshot and glossy, according to statements from the officer who stopped Koen.
A search warrant was obtained for Koen’s blood, which ultimately led to the DUI charge.
Koen was also charged with forcible penetration with a foreign object stemming from the sexual assault.
