COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for felony domestic battery after he sprayed a woman with window cleaner and punched her.
Chad A Jensen, 46, was at a local gas station when several bystanders witnessed Jensen repeatedly punching his female passenger and spraying her face with window cleaner.
Customers at the gas station intervened. One bystander pulled Jensen from the car and detained him until police arrived. Another bystander helped the victim wash the window cleaner from her eyes.
Jensen was given 10 years with eligibility for parole in 7 years.
Jensen’s criminal history includes prior convictions for battery, felony aggravated assault, and eluding.
Prosecuting Attorney Stanley T. Mortensen expressed gratitude to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department and the bystanders who intervened to prevent further harm.
