The Sandpoint Middle School tennis team will compete in their first-ever interscholastic match on October 16 against Lewiston Middle School.
Sandpoint has fielded a middle school tennis team for the past 20 years. However, they have not had another school to compete against until now.
This year, Lewiston Middle School has created their own tennis team, allowing Sandpoint students to finally have interscholastic matches.
The match scheduled for October 16 in Lewiston marks a significant milestone for both schools.
