IDAHO – The Idaho State Parks are placing a blackout on camping and cabin reservations as they transition to a new reservation system.

The blackout will begin on August 1 and will continue until January 6 for all Idaho State Parks. Making a new reservation will not be possible during the 5-month blackout.Existing reservations made for 2024 and into 2025 will not be affected by the blackout transition.”The blackout is necessary to migrate from the current reservation system to the new one, which requires the transfer of park facility and customer information from one network to another,” said Seth Hobbs, Reservation & Registration program manager for ISP.The team apologized for the inconvenience of the blackout but assured that the new reservation system will be much more user-friendly.
