Idaho snowplow hit by car on Highway 5 near St. Maries, second crash in North Idaho

ST. MARIES, Idaho — An Idaho Department of Transportation snowplow was struck by a car on Highway 5 near St. Maries.

According to the transportation department, the incident occurred Friday afternoon, when an oncoming driver lost control and slid into the snowplow about 3 miles west of St. Maries. The department said this marks the second snowplow crash in North Idaho and the fourth in the state.
