BOISE, Idaho – Idaho Governor Brad Little announced the return of two teams from the Idaho State Police (ISP) from the U.S.-Mexico border.

Governor Little had announced the three-week mission during his January State of the Budget Address, which focused on human trafficking.

“The ten troopers built valuable relationships and enhanced their knowledge of how to curb human trafficking, the illicit drug trade, and other illegal activities facilitated by the lack of resources at the southern border,” said Governor Little.

The governor’s office stated that the initiative was designed to aid law enforcement efforts and enrich educational programs in Idaho. Additionally, the office added that the mission would be integrated into the Domestic Highway Enforcement (DHE) courses for Idaho law enforcement to combat human trafficking in the state.
