MOSCOW, Idaho — The Idaho Supreme Court denied Bryan Kohberger’s defense team’s request to appeal his grand jury indictment on Tuesday.
Latah County Judge John Judge denied an appeal on the same issue earlier this year. Kohberger’s defense team took the request to the Supreme Court, hoping the indictment would be reversed.
The defense claimed the indictment should be thrown out due to inaccurate jury instructions, a biased grand jury and other issues.
The Supreme Court didn’t give a reason for denying the appeal.
Kohberger’s next hearing in Latah County is scheduled for May 14 at 1:30 p.m.
