SPOKANE, Wash. – The Idaho teen who allegedly planned a terrorist attack on local churches in support of ISIS has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
On Tuesday the Federal Grand Jury indicted on three different criminal terrorist related counts.
Mercurio pleaded not guilty to the charges in a hearing on Wednesday.
According to court documents, Mercurio planned to attack a church in Coeur d’Alene on Sunday inspired by ISIS.
He was arrested on Saturday following an investigation spanning more than a year.
