BLACKFOOT, Idaho – A teenager in Idaho has been arrested in connection with an incident involving a Safe Haven baby drop-off box.
Six weeks ago, police say the teen left a baby in the Blackfoot drop-off box after the child had passed away. These boxes are designed for babies to be safely left in the care of healthcare workers, provided they are unharmed.
However, it is a crime if the baby is harmed or deceased. The teen has been booked into jail, and the investigation is ongoing.
