BOISE, Idaho – Idaho’s unemployment rate was 3.3% in March according to the Idaho Department of Labor. The rate has not changed since September.
Unemployment was lower in March 2023 at 2.9%, marking a year-over-year increase in the monthly unemployment rate.
Manufacturing, construction and arts jobs all saw increases in March, while private educational and professional services sustained slight losses.
Employment increased slightly in Boise and remained the same in Coeur d’ Alene. Most employment losses occurred in rural and agricultural areas.
