BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho House of Representatives passed a new immigration bill.
According to the Idaho Capitol Sun, this new bill would make it illegal for non-U.S. citizens to enter Idaho directly from a foreign country outside an official port of entry. Law enforcement would be able to check a person’s immigration status and let a judge send the person back.
This immigration bill’s language was copied from Texas law. It is now on its way to the Idaho Senate.
