GRANT CO., Wash. – An inmate at the Grant County Jail was found dead Tuesday morning.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reports Corrections Deputies went to check on the inmate around 6:15 am after he did not show up for breakfast.
The inmate was found unresponsive and without a pulse in a bed in a dormitory.
He was declared dead after the Ephrata Fire Department and LifeLine Ambulance responded.
A preliminary assessment does not suggest foul play, according to the sheriff’s office.
