Idaho—Inmates looking for a fresh start are being offered a chance to get a job or explore opportunities at the Idaho Department of Corrections job fair next month.
This job fair will help inmates connect with potential employers who are hiring for a variety of jobs, including trades, hotels, and other entry-level positions that will help them get back on their feet. It is for inmates who are scheduled to be released in the next six months.
Idaho Reentry Services provides resources and education to inmates as they complete job applications, prepare for interviews, and start training for their new jobs.
According to their official website, reentry is the release planning process all returning citizens go through to reintegrate themselves with their community. These programs help inmates become functional adults in their cities.
