According to Okanogan County Emergency Management, members of the public are asked to limit their water usage as workers attempt to solve the problem.
It wasn’t clear Sunday afternoon how many people lacked access to running water, but Winthrop Public Works responded to the issue starting at around 8 a.m. and continued working into the afternoon.
