Judge criticizes Kohberger defense in evidence challenge

BOISE, Idaho – A judge has rejected a defense motion in Brian Kohberger’s quadruple murder case, criticizing the defense’s approach.

The judge denied the defense’s request for a hearing to challenge the evidence used to justify search warrants. The defense presented 28 exhibits, comprising over 2,000 pages, but failed to clarify how the evidence supported their arguments.

The judge highlighted an example where the defense cited an exhibit with over 100 pages of duplicate email threads. This was intended to challenge law enforcement’s identification of a Hyundai Elantra seen on security cameras near the crime scene.

He argued that the defense’s approach was akin to asking him to do their job for them.
