KELLER, Wash. – The Keller Ferry M/V Sanpoil, which crosses the Columbia River on State Route 21, will require alternative routes due to the planned closure of the ferry.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the closure will commence at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, and last until Saturday, July 20. WSDOT reported that marine inspectors from the United States Coast Guard have identified damage to the hull.
WSDOT advises travelers intending to cross the Columbia River via State Route 21 during the closure to use alternative routes such as State Route 25, State Route 155, and State Route 174. WSDOT recommends allowing additional travel time as the detour may take up to an hour to complete.
