KETTLE FALLS, Wash. – A Kettle Falls Early Learning Center employee for allegedly touching a child inappropriately kissed three additional children on the cheeks according to the Kettle Falls School District.
The school district described the alleged behavior in a Monday evening social media post.
“Earlier today we learned that there were 3 additional students identified that [Nathan] Ford kissed on the cheeks. The families of those students have already been notified,” the school district said.
Ford since his Feb. 8 arrest. He was hired as a substitute paraeducator at the Early Learning Center in Nov. 2022 and took on a full time position in June 2023.
According to the school district, the law enforcement investigation into the Feb. 8 incident is over, which allowed the district to conduct its own investigation which identified the three additional students.
“In response to the initial incident, it is important to know that improvements were made at our ELC which include additional supervision, improved structures to track student behaviors, better communication between our staff and our families, and improved video storage across our school district,” the district said.
