Kevin Hall sworn in as Spokane’s new Police Chief

SPOKANE, Wash. — for the City of Spokane Police Department during a ceremony held Monday at the Tribal Gathering Place.

According to the City of Spokane, , where he served with the Tucson Police Department for over 30 years. In Tucson, Hall held various leadership roles, including serving as Assistant Chief of Police since 2016. His extensive law enforcement career includes leading the Special Services and Innovation Bureau, Patrol Services Bureau, and working in the Homicide, Home Invasion, Physical Child Abuse, SWAT and Patrol units.

Hall is also a veteran of the United States Air Force. According to the press release, he was instrumental in expanding Tucson’s Mental Health Support Team, introducing a Substance Use Response Team and creating a Homeless Outreach Team. The City added that Hall started the integration of behavioral health clinicians within Tucson’s 911 call center to better address mental health emergencies.

“As I step into this role, I am deeply honored to serve the Spokane community as the new police chief,” Hall said. “I am committed to building trust, ensuring safety, and working hand in hand with our esteemed officers and every resident to make our city a better place for all.”

Mayor Lisa Brown expressed enthusiasm for Hall’s appointment. “I have been looking forward to Chief Hall’s arrival and am thrilled to welcome him to the City of Spokane. I am confident his leadership will strengthen our police force and look forward to the positive impact he will bring as we work together for the well-being of our community.”
