Kids explore trucks at annual Touch-a-Truck in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — Kids got to explore and get hands-on experience with different types of trucks and other vehicles at the annual Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday.

According to the Junior League of Spokane (JLS), this is the 14th year they have turned dreams into a reality for kids obsessed with trucks and other exciting vehicles. JLS displays emergency, utility, construction, transportation, buses, and other cars so kids can explore features that make each vehicle unique.

The event took place at the Spokane Community College, where construction trucks, emergency responders, tractor-trailers, and even a helicopter were present throughout the campus grounds. Along with the vehicles, community booths, local mascots, face painters, and food trucks were also at Touch-a-Truck, adding to the family-fun event.

At the end, kids could honk horns for the last 10 minutes of the event. Kids met those who build, protect, and serve the City of Spokane and asked them questions about their jobs and what trucks they drive.

Touch-a-Truck is put together by JLS, and over 30 local and national companies participate in Touch-a-Truck every year. To learn more about Touch-a-truck or JLS, visit their website at Touch-A-Truck – Junior League of Spokane, WA (jl.org).
