SPOKANE, Wash- Three people are displaced after a kitchen fire lit a house ablaze near Chief Garry Park.
it happened on Wednesday around 10 p.m., where a one story house caught fire and grew from the kitchen to the back of the home.
Fire crews said flames could be seen coming out of the back window.
There was confusion as to whether or not anyone was in the house at the time of the fire.
Fire crews went into the home to search for any possible victims but could not find anyone.
The fire was knocked down shortly after fire crews got to the scene.
There was no reported injuries and Avista made their way to the home to access the damages.
Tonight, three people are displaced and officials are saying the fire started in the kitchen.
The Spokane Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
