COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Kootenai County Commissioner Leslie Duncan has announced her candidacy for the North Idaho College (NIC) Board of Trustees, Zone 5 seat.
A long-time resident of North Idaho, Duncan said she aims to bring experienced leadership and responsible governance to the board, focusing on addressing current challenges and ensuring the institution’s stability and growth.
“My track record speaks for itself. I’m dedicated to serving taxpayers and ensuring that government fulfills its purpose,” Duncan said.
Duncan’s campaign is driven by a commitment to education and a desire to support NIC through recent difficulties. Duncan wants to emphasize the needs for effective governance, transparency and collaboration with all stakeholders to maintain NIC’s role as a key educational resource in the region.
“North Idaho College has faced challenges, but together, we can ensure it emerges stronger and more resilient,” Duncan said. “I am committed to responsible governance, transparency, and collaboration with all stakeholders to keep NIC on a path of success.”
